Plans are underway for third annual Paws in the Park and Bow Wow Bash events. The Centennial Building and Constitution Park will serve once again as the  site and  September 27th, 2008 is the date-  Committees are forming and sponsors are being sought.  If you would like to be a part of this important fundraiser, please contact Amber Davis, Sandi Christy, Gary Gibbs or Melody at the shelter. 

Rather than offering a gas-guzzling car this year, we are holding a Cash for Critters drawing.  Tax deductible contributions of $100 will put your name in the hat for a chance at $10,000 or one of five $1000 prizes.  Donations can be made through the Donate Now button at the top of the page, or can be handled through the shelter directly. 

The Paws in the Park 5K Run/Walk is in the process of being certified this year, thanks to the generosity of Dr. Fulmer.  Registration for this event is posted on Active.com.

A variety of fun, family oriented activities will be found at the newly landscaped Constitution Park.  Expect booths, games, contests, and demonstrations that morning.  All events will be held on September 27, with Paws in the Park during the morning and the BowWow Bash that evening.

 The establishment of our Spay/Neuter Program has proven to be well received. Although funding from last year's Bow Wow Bash has been exhausted, donations help to keep this program working. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, you can request that your donation be earmarked for this intent.  Select the PayPal icon at the top of this page to put your donation to work immediately.  We thank Dr. Bayez and his staff at the Agape Animal Hospital in Wewahitchka for working with us to curb the number of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens in our county.  Applications and further information about this program are available at the shelter.
