Our Mission

St. Joseph Bay Humane Society, Inc. is an IRS-certified 501(c)3 no-kill shelter dedicated to relieving animal suffering, preventing animal cruelty, promoting human education and enhancing the animal and human bond.

We are proud to partner with rescue organizations across the nation and find a loving home for every one of our pets.

We serve all of Gulf County, Florida, as animal control and a humane society for animals.

Volunteers save lives. Join our fun-filled volunteer program to interact with our adoptable dogs and cats, providing much needed comfort and enrichment for our pets waiting for their forever homes.

Have a skill? We'd love to hear about it. We always need help with landscaping, events, and housekeeping!

Day by the Bay
Whether you're a traveler or local, take a dog on an outing for a few hours. You might just help find their forever family. Stop by the shelter to sign up.

Donate your gently used items to our on-site thrift store.

We're here to support our community. One of the best ways to prevent homeless pets is to help them stay in their current homes. We provide assistance with free pet food, low cost spay/neuter, and finding lots pets.
